About me

Hey there! I’m Claudio Romero, a software developer from Brazil 🇧🇷

I’ve been building computer programs for the past two decades. In 2016, I heard about React.js and started studying and using it as much as I could.

The practicing only made me liking it even more, and I was lucky enough to translate a top rated React book to Portuguese. I’ve also worked as a code reviewer for a remote-teaching company, putting my hands on source code from different knowledge levels and working styles.

I love coding. I’m happy to work on it everyday and I like talking about it. Also, helping other people on how to build something is a very rewarding activity and I believe that it is a very powerful learning tool! 🚀

I’m currently working with…

React (with TypeScript)

Sometimes I work with…

Next.js, Node.js, Java (mostly with Spring)

I like studying and playing around with different stuff, like…

Rust, C/C++, systems programming, operating systems and compilers

What am I doing here?

I’ve spent a lot of time working for software companies only, so I felt like I could/should do better contributing to OSS. I’m also trying to work on some of my own ideas, sharing them on my GitHub.

That said, I’ll try to write here any thoughts or ideas that come to mind while working or learning new stuff.
